Dato' PY Lai

Co-Founder & Chairman

Dato’ PY Lai has 32 years of experience working in senior positions in INTEL and Motorola, he retired as the Chairman of Motorola China. He started the GEM Education Group in Suzhou, China, and in early 2023 he led the formation of Blue Chip Venture Capital. A veteran technology leader, he has received numerous decorations by governments and professional organizations. He is a fellow at the Malaysian Academy of Science and Member of the board at US Center of Creative Leadership.

Foong Wai Fong

A serial entrepreneur with 20 years in China. Wai Fong co-founded Megatrends Asia with US trend guru john Naisbitt. Her bestselling books Megatrends Asia and Megatrends China with John Naisbitt successfully predicted the emergence of China and Asia. Her book “Culture is Good Business’ on creative industry, was voted top 10 best books by readers of Taiwanese Commonwealth Magazine. She is a member of the International Board of Advisors for the city of Rotterdam (2006-2009). Now serves as Chairman of the family holding company SunFresh Fruits Group, which supports a 10,000-acre Food Park in Malaysia.

Tim Chen

Tim Chen, CEO of BlueChip Venture Capital. Chen have a MBA from the University of Chicago, two master’s degrees in computer science and mathematics from Ohio State University. In a career that spans almost 40 years, Tim worked at AT&T Labs in the US, Motorola China as the general manager for marketing and sales and later as chairman and president of Motorola in China, as CEO of Greater China for Microsoft in China, as CEO of NBA China. As president and group managing director of Telstra Corporation Limited, served as the corporate vice president of Hon Hai Technology Group (trading as Foxconn Technology Group) and president of Asia Pacific Telecom. Tim has oversight over a number of IPOs in China. Chen also served on various boards of directors, including BeiGene Ltd, Autohome Inc, Telstra Limited, Qingdao Haier Co., Ltd, eSilicon Corporation and LSI Corporation.

CK is a self-made techno-entrepreneur who comes with over 40 years of experience in semiconductor related and electronic EMS He is the cofounded General Manager of Globetronics Technology Bhd and is the VP of NationGate Group Bhd. (strategic business development ) CK has wide connections in the academia and industrial sector, Now based in Penang, he serves as the COO of BlueChips Venture Capital.

Dato' Dr. Tan Tat Wai

Senior Advisor, Strategic Investment

A Harvard and MIT graduate, Dato’ Dr. Tan Tat Wai started at the Central bank of Malaysia, continued later as a consultant to, World Bank and the United Nations University. He served many key organizations including as the Secretary of the Council of Malaysian Invisible Trade, a member of the Malaysian Business Council, a member of Corporate Malaysia Roundtable, the Penang Industrial Council, the Industrial Co- ordination Council (ICC) and the National Committee on Business Competitiveness (NCBC). He represents Malaysia as a member of the APEC Business Advisory Council (ABAC) and is currently the Group Managing Director of Southern Steel Berhad, a post he has held since December 1993.

Tan Sri Andrew Sheng

He started his career as an accountant and is now a distinguished fellow of Fung Global Institute, a global think tank based in Hong Kong. belong to the family conglomerate of Li & Fung. He formerly served as chairman of the Hong Kong Securities and Futures Commission (SFC), has wide connections with regional funds, national central banks, the finance and securities commissions.
